Mid-Century Media is a production company based in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 2014 by veteran television news producer and broadcast journalist JD Cargill. The company's name is a reference to the mid 20th century - an era known for bold innovation and smart design during the "Golden Age" of Hollywood.
JD Cargill is an award-winning broadcast journalist, producer and film expert. From 2004 to 2014 he worked at CNN interviewing thousands of actors and filmmakers and serving as the network's liaison to the motion picture industry. In March 2014 he opened Mid-Century Media and in partnership with ArcLight Cinemas the two companies developed ArcLight Stories - a first-of-its-kind Hollywood interview series designed for movie theater guests. Before CNN, JD was the entertainment reporter for Rise TV on UK's Channel 4 and senior entertainment producer for KTLA's News@Ten. JD has been honored with an AP Award, Golden Mic, two LA Press Club Awards and for his contribution to four Peabody Awards.
Edricdale Silla is an editor, videographer, and graphics animation artist with a passion for filmmaking. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Video Production) from the University of California, he has worked on numerous productions on and off the big screen as well as the digital screen. Edricdale garnered his extensive set of skills by working on high-profile productions such as Morgan Spurlock's documentary "Comic Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope," to smaller projects producing music videos for local artists and event coverage videos on popular conventions. From 2012 to 2014 he worked as one of the head editors on one of Youtube's most popular travel shows WeedMaps TV. Today he works as senior editor at Mid-Century Media.
